ORDINANCE TO PROCEED WITH DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF THE
STRUCTURES ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 839 BARNES STREET, 1017
BENNETT LANE, 103,2 EIGHTH STREET, 1034 EIGHTH STREET, 1 106 TENTH
STREET, 913 TWELFTH STREET, 1251/1253 FLORENCE STREET, 1230 HOLLEY
STREET, 1506 BLEAKLEY STREET, 1647 MORGAN STREET, 1685 LUCKY
STREET, 1524 SWANN'S LANE, 1626 MARTIN LUTHER KING BOULEVARD,
1838 GRAND BOULEVARD, AND 859 FIFTEENTH AVENUE.
TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following residential properties have been identified by the Director
of the Augusta - Richmond County License and Inspection Department as unfit for
human habitation (or unfit for its current commercial or business use) and the cost of
repair, alteration or improvement of each of said properties exceeds one-half the value of
each property and that the said Director shall cause the structures located on hereinafter
described properties to be demolished and removed as ordered by Augusta-Richmond
County Magistrate Court; and that said Director shall cause the costs of such removal
and demolition for each respective property be entered upon the lien docket maintained in
the office of Clerk of Augusta - Richmond County Commission and said Director shall
otherwise proceed to effectuate the purpose of O.C.G.A. SS 41-2-7 through 41-2-17 with
respect to said properties, to-wit:
. 839 BARNES STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta-Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 142.
. 1017 BENNETT LANE, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta-Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 342.
. 1032 EIGHTH STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta-Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 771.
. 1034 EIGHTH STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 772.
. 1106 TENTH STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 628.
. 913 TWELFTH STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 27.

Section 11. This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
Section 111. That all Ordinances and parts of o~ conflict herewith are hereby
