ORDINANCE NO. 6716
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone R-1C (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business)
affecting property located on the southwest right-of-way line of Walton Way,
120 feet east of James Brown Boulevard; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2
(General Business) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-way line of Walton
Way, 120 feet east of James Brown Boulevard; thence, in a southeasterly
direction along the southwest right-of-way line of Walton Way a distance
of 90.0 feet to a point located on the west bank of the Augusta Canal;
thence, in a southeasterly direction along the west bank of the Augusta
Canal a distance of 135 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly
direction a distance of 151 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a
northerly direction a distance of 125 feet to the point of beginning. This
property contains .32 acres and is known under the present numbering
system as 836, 838 and 840 Walton Way. (Tax Map 46-4 Parcel 144 &
145)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
