ORDINANCE 6713
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by
the Augusta-Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997
by amending Section 3 pertaining to the building setbacks:
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is amended by deleting
the following from Section 3-12, Special Building Setbacks:
3-12 Special Building Setbacks
(s)* Nearer than seventy (70) feet from the right-of-way line of
Wrightsboro Road from Barton Chapel Road to the
Richmond/Columbia County Line.
SECTION II. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is amended by adding
the following to Section 3-12, Special Building Setbacks:
(s) Nearer than 70 feet from the right-of-way line of Wrightsboro
Road from Barton Chapel Road to the Richmond/Columbia
County line except for the area around the Dyess Parkway
intersection which has already been widened to five or more lanes.
This excluded area begins 500 feet east of the intersection of
Powell Road and ends 1000 feet west of the intersection of Dyess
Parkway.

SECTION II1. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Duly adopted by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission on this
