ORDINANCE NO. 6711
ORDINANCE TO PROCEED WITH DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF THE
STRUCTURES ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2664 TEAKWOOD DRIVE (AlK/A
3702 BEACON HILL DRIVE), 1617 MILL STREET, 1713 SAVANNAH ROAD, 1711
SAVANNAH ROAD, AND 1706 MEADOW STREET.
TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the following residential properties have been identitied by the Director
of the Augusta - Richmond County License and Inspection Department as unfit for
human habitation (or unfit for its current commercial or business use) and the cost of
repair, alteration or improvement of each of said properties exceeds one-half the value of
each property and that the said Director shall cause the structures located on hereinafter
described properties to be demolished and removed as ordered by Augusta-Richmond
County Magistrate Court; and that said Director shall cause the costs of such removal
and demolition for each respective property be entered upon the lien docket maintained in
the office of Clerk of Augusta - Richmond County Commission and said Director shall
otherwise proceed to etfectuate the purpose of O.C.G.A. SS 41-2-7 through 41-2-17 with
respect to said propeliies, to-wit:
. 2664 TEAKWOOD DRIVE (A/KIA 3702 BEACON HILL DRIVE), Augusta-
Richmond County, Georgia, identitied on Augusta-Richmond County Tax Map 152
as Parcel 97.
. 1617 MILL STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on AUh'1lsta-
Richmond County Tax Map 59-3 as Parcel 7.
. 1 713 SA V ANNAH ROAD, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta-Richmond County Tax Map 59-3 as Parcel 439.
. 1711 SAVANNAH ROAD, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta Richmond County Tax Map 59-3 as Parcel 440.
. 1706 MEADOW STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta Richmond County Tax Map 58-4 as Parcel 524.
Section II. This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
Section III. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordina ces in con ict herewith are hereby
repealed. Duly adopted this ~rz;{ day of , 2004.
