An Ordinance to anlend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-1A (One-fanlily Residential) with a
Special Exception per Section 9-2 affecting property located on the northeast comer of
the intersection of Belair Road and Burdette Drive; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-1A (One-fanlily
Residential) with a Special Exception per Section 9-2 affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northeast comer of the intersection of
Belair Road and Burdette Drive; thence, in a northerly direction along the
northeast right-of-way line of Burdette Drive a distance of 865 feet, more
or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 20
feet, more or less, to a point; thence, N 07053' 10" W a distance of 487.33
feet to a point; thence, N 56022'35" W a distance of 642.13 feet to a point;
thence, N 16051 '58" E a distance of 513.95 feet to a point; thence, N
68013'55" E a distance of330.06 feet to a point; thence, N 24055'55" E a
distance of 242.02 feet to a point; thence, N 46017'39" E a distance of
147.95 feet to a point; thence, S 63058'29" E a distance of 271.41 feet to a
point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 174.50 feet to a
point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 1,063 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, S 31023'00" W a distance of751.50 feet to a point;
thence, N 52014'45" W a dIstance of 35.0 feet to a point; thence, S
53038'20" W a distance of745.22 feet to a point; thence, S 24038'31" E a

distance of 945.26 feet to a point located on the northwest right-of-way
line of Belair Road; thence, in a westerly direction along the northwest
right-of-way line of Belair Road a distance of 284.71 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains approximately 44 acres and is located
at the intersection of Belair Road and Burdette Drive. (Tax Map 53,
Parcels 2.2, 8.1 & 8.2)
SECTION II. All Ordlnances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
