ORDINANCE NO. 6670
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Conmlission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) and B-2 (General Business) to Zone
B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the southwest comer of the
intersection of Balfour Street and Peach Orchard Road; and for the repeal of ordinances
in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Conunissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) and B-2
(General Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest corner of the
intersection of Balfour Street and Peach Orchard Road;
thence! in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way
line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 252 feet to a point;
thence! in a westerly direction a distance of 351 feet! more
or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a
distance of 150.0 feet to a point located on the south right-
of-way ,line of Balfour Street; thence, in an easterly
direction along the south right-of-way line of Balfour Street
a distance of 270 feet,_ more or less, to the point of
beginning. This property contains 1.34 acres and is known
under the present numbering system as 3357 Peach Orchard Road
and 2102 Balfour Street. (Tax Map122-3 Parcels 48 & 50)

SECTION II.
This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject
to the following stipulations:
~.
1) the only use allowed be the sale, repair and rental of outdoor equipment;
2) that all equipment storage be south of the north edge of the fo~er residential
structure which will be retained;
3) all solid board fencing will be maintained on the perimeter as it exists today.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
