An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-lE (One-fan1ily Residential) affecting
property located on the southeast right-of-way line of Roy Road, 2,000 feet,
more or less, southwest of the southwest corner of the intersection of
Wheeler Road and Roy Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith
and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-IE (One-family
Residential) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of-
way line of Roy Road, 2,000 feet, more or less,
southwest of the southwest corner of the intersection
of Wheeler Road and Roy Road; thence, S 10041'26" E a
distance of 609.58 feet to a point; thence, S 77007'17"
E a distance of 331.90 feet to a point; thence, S
00002'07" E a distance of 365.93 feet to a point;
thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of
845.53 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly
direction a distance of 1,179.46 feet to a point;
thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 573.97
feet to the point of beginning. This property
contains approximately 18.32 acres. (Tax Map 30 Parcel
20 )
SECTION II. This amendment to the Zoning Ordinance is subject to the
following stipulations:
That the buffer requirements ofthe Augusta-Richmond County Tree Ordinance be
followed along the property line that is adjacent to existing residential properties.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
