HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6643 TURKNETT SPRING RD Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: O"'d~ -(sLsP.. ~ DOCUMENTTYPE:O(c\\(Yl~ YEAR: O~ BOX NUMBER: \C\ FILE NUMBER: \1.9?QO NUMBER OF PAGES: a 1:" - .. ~ " I I'" 2..- 0"3 - 77 ORDINANCE NO. 6643 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-2 (Two-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the north right-of-way line of Turknett Spring Road, 820 feet, more or less, southwest of a point where the west right-of- way line of Irvine Street intersects the northwest right-of-way line of Turknett Spring Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-2 (Two-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: .... # '.' ;,I' . \ . Beginning at a point located on the north right-of-way line of Turknett Spring Road, 820 feet, more or less, southwest of a point where the west right-of-way line of Irvine Street intersects the northwest right-of-way line of Turknett Spring Road; thence, in a westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of Turknett Spring Road a distance of 40.00 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 200.00 feet to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 40.00 feet to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 200.00 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains .18 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 1935 Turknett Spring Road. (Tax Map 45-3 Parcel 306) SECTION II. This amendment to the zoning map is subject to the following stipulations: 1) That if the current auto repair business ceases to operate the zoning will revert to R-2 (Two-family Residential) ; 2) that there be no outside storage or additional buildings added related to the business. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 1 ~ day of Sept ,2003.
