An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone B-2 (General
Business) to Zone R-1A (One-family Residential) affecting property located on the northeast
right-of-way line of Cherry Road, 75.0 feet northwest of a point where the northwest right-of-way
of Cunningham Drive intersects the northeast right-of-way line of Cherry Road; and for the repeal
of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone R-lA (One-family Residential) affecting
property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of Cherry Road,
75.0 feet northwest of a point where the northwest right-of-way of Cunningham
Drive intersects the northeast right-of-way line of Cherry Road; thence, in a
northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of-way line of Cherry Road a
distance of 75.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of
250.00 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 75.0 feet
to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 250.00 feet to the
point of beginning. This property contains .43 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 1926 Y2 Cherry Road. (Tax Map 71-4 Parcel 84)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
