An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with alI amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located on the northwest corner of the
intersection of Doug Barnard Parkway and Dixon Airline Road; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property as folIows:
Beginning at a point being located on the northwest comer of the intersection of
Doug Barnard Parkway and Dixon Airline Road; thence, in a southwesterly
direction along the northwest right-of-way line of Dixon Airline Road a distance
of 1,247 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance
of 1,913 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of
1,257 feet, more or less, to a point located on the west right-of-way line of Doug
Barnard Parkway; thence, in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line
of Doug Barnard Parkway a distance of 1,564 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning. This property contains approximately 50 acres. (Tax Map 135 Parcel
5 and Tax Map 146 Parcel 5)
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
