HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6640 WHEELER RD Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: 0 -Qco~ - (.oUL\D DOCUMENT TYPE: D'( d \ DOJ\ te YEAR: O~ BOX NUMBER: \ q FILE NUMBER: llo~5:) NUMBER OF PAGES: cf) " I 2....03-5~ l ORDINANCE NO. 6640 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-IC (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Wheeler Road and Grady Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IC (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Wheeler Road and Grady Street; thence, in an easterly direction along the south right-of-way line of Wheeler Road a distance of 560 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 150 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 602 feet, more or less, to a point located on the east right-of-way line of Grady Street; thence, in a northerly direction along the east right-of-way line of Grady Street a distance of 120 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 1.6 acres. (Tax Map 33-2 Parcels 372-380) t C.'. f, SECTION II. This amendment to the Zoning Map is subj ect to the following stipulations: 1) The only use of the property shall be a garden center or those uses permitted in the R-1C zone; 2) the development of the property must substantially conform to the concept plan submitted with this petition and; 3) no curb cut onto Grady Street. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 1 ~ day of Sept ,2003.
