An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Riclunond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Riclunond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone R-3C (Multiple-family Residential) to Zone P-1 (professional) with a
Special Exception affecting property located on the northeast corner of the
intersection of Fourth Street and Watkins Street; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Riclunond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is an1ended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-3C (Multiple-fantily Residential) to Zone P-1
(Professional) with a Special Exception affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the northeast comer of the intersection of
Fourth Street and Watkins Street; thence, in a northerly direction along the
southeast right-of-way line of Fourth Street a distance of 44 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 93 feet, more
or less, to a point; thence, in a, southerly direction a distance of 44 feet,
more or less, to a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of
Watkins Street; thence, in a westerly direction along the northeast right-
of-way line of Watkins Street a distance of 93 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning. This property contains .09 acres and is known under
the present numbering system as 616 and 618 Fourth Street. (Tax Map
47-4 Parcel 323)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
