HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6612 MIKE PADGETT HWY MAVIS ST Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: D - (;) ~ - (P 1.0 I ~ DOCUMENT TYPE: 6{Z1)\NA~6 YEAR: :;z 0 D 3 BOX NUMBER: 1 r FILE NUMBER: lle I ~ ~ NUMBER OF PAGES: ;) ORDINANCE NO. 6612 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located on the southwest comer of the intersection of Mike Padgett Highway and Mavis Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RlCHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property as follows: 2-o~-~'1 Beginning at a point located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Mike Padgett Highway and Mavis Street; thence, in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line of Mike Padgett Highway a distance of 120 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 125 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 120 feet, more or less, to a point located on the southwest right-of-way line of Mavis Street; thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest right- of -way line of Mavis Street a distance of 120.0 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately .33 acres is known under the present numbering system as 2621 Mike Padgett Highway. (Tax Map 111-1 part of Parcel 17) SECTION II. This ordinance is approved for that portion of the property that is within 120 feet of the right-of- way of Mabus Street with the following stipulations: 1. That no more than 30 vehicles be stored at anyone time. 2. That either the existing chain link fence be slatted on all sides or a solid board fence be erected on all sides. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 6tltJayof May ,2003.
