A resolution by the Augusta-Richmond County Planning Commission recommending that the
Subdivision Regulations be amended as follows:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF AUGUSTA,
GEORGIA, ADOPTED BY THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION ON MARCH 18, 1997
BY ADDING A NEW PARAGRAPH PERTAINING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL.
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Ordinance regulating the subdivision of land in Augusta, Georgia, is
amended by deleting Article III, Section 302 (Y) in its entirety:
SECTION II. That the Ordinance regulating the subdivision of land in Augusta, Georgia, is
amended by adding a new section, Article III, Section 302 (Y):
Section 302 (Y)
The location of stop signs (and other traffic control devices as required by the Traffic
Engineer) including a statement to the effect that the subdivider shall be responsible for
the initial installation of the signs (and other traffic control devices).
Adequate traffic control, per the MUTCD and/or the requirements of the Traffic
Engineer, is the responsibility of the Developer.
SECTION m. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
