ORDINANCE NO. 6597
ORDINANCE TO PROCEED WITH DEMOLlTION AND REMOVAL OF THE
STRUCTURES ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2233 BA YV ALE ROAD, NEW
SAVANNAH ROAD (MAP 73, PARCEL 23),906 EIGHTH AVENUE, 907 EIGHTH
AVENUE, AND 909 EIGHTH A VENUE.
TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.BE IT
ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION AND IT IS
HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following residential properties have been identified by the Director
of the Augusta - Richmond County License and Inspection Department as unfit for
human habitation (or unfit for its current commercial or business use) and the cost of
repair, alteration or improvement of each of said properties exceeds one-half the value of
each property and that the said Director shall cause the structures located on hereinafter
described propel1ies to be demolished and removed; and that said Director shall cause
the costs of such removal and demolition for each respective property be entered upon the
lien docket maintained in the office of Clerk of Augusta - Richmond County
Commission and said Director shall otherwise proceed to effectuate the purpose of
O.c.G.A. SS 41-2-7 through 41-2-17 with respect to said propel1ies, to-wit:
. 2233 BA YV ALE ROAD, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta- Richmond County Tax Map 69-2 as Parcel 22.
. NEW SAVANNAH ROAD, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta- Richmond County Tax Map 73 as Parcel 23.
. 906 EIGHTH A VENUE, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta- Richmond County Tax Map 72-4 as Parcel 276.
. 907 EIGHTH A VENUE, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta- Richmond County Tax Map 72-4 as Parcel 272.
. 909 EIGHTH A VENUE, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identitied on
Augusta- Richmond County Tax Map 72-4 as Parcel 273.
Section II. This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
Section II I. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed. Du1yadopted this ,4th day of March ,2003.
