ORDINANCE NO. 6576
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Conm1issioners of Riclunond County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all
an1endments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Riclullond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule
Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of
Georgia" by changing the.zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-l (One-family
Residential) affecting property located on the east right-of-way line of Old Waynesboro
Road, 460 feet, more or less, south of a point where the centerline of Little Spirit Creek
intersects the east right-of-way line of Old Waynesboro Road; and 'for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION.!. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-l (One-family
Residential) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the east right-of-way line of Old
Waynesboro Road, 460 feet, more or less, south of a point where the
centerline of Little Spirit Creek intersects the east right-of-way line of Old
Waynesboro Road; thence, N 74047' E a distance of 1,079.70 feet to a point;
thence, S 40005' E a distance of 2,462 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S
47055' W a distance of700 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, N 40005' W
a distance of 2,003 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S 49049" W a
distance of 809 feet, more or less, to a point located on the east right-of-way
line of Old Waynesboro Road; thence, in a northerly direction along the east
, right-of-way line of Old Waynesboro Road a distance of 1,100 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 54
acres and is known under the present numbering system as 4626 Old
Waynesboro Road. (Tax map 276 Parcel 5.3 and Tax map 299 Parcel 01)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
