HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6562 PEACH ORCHARD RD Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: O,J'\ nCi-i'\ C.L ~ 5622 DOCUMENT TYPE: O\-d.: \ (\0-1'1\ L:C:, YEAR: 0 2 BOX NUMBER: \1 F~ENUMBER: \Co~l~~ NUMBER OF PAGES: 2- ~ .. i...... -, .if"- ORDINANCE NO. 6562 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of RichIDond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfinn the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Riclunond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Riclunond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the southeast comer of the intersection of Peach Orchard Road and Melrose Drive; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-fanuly Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: 2-0:>-1a..~ ~ i \11' 'f" , " .~ ,-, ". . I I / Beginning at a point located on the southeast comer of the intersection of Peach Orchard Road and Melrose Drive; thence, in an northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way line of Melrose Drive a distance of 80.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of611 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 283 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 600 feet, more or less, to a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road; thence, in a northerly direction along the northeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 252 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains 3.15 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 3338 Peach Orchard Road. (Tax map 122-3 parcel 103) SECTION II. That this ordinance is approved with the following stipulation: That a 40' buffer which conforms to the standards of the County Tree Ordinance be maintained on the property lines adjacent to residential properties. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 15_ day of Oct ,2002.
