ORDINANCE NO. 6561
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Conunissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfinn the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board, of
Conullissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all
amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Conunissioners of
Richmond County or tlle City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule
Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of
Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) to Zone B-
1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property located on the northeast right-of-way
line of Washington Road, l,320 feet, more or less, southeast of a point where
the southwest right-of-way line of Redwood Drive intersects with the
northeast right-of-way line of Washington Road; and for the repeal of ordinances
in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUST A-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-fanlily Residential) to Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of
Washington Road, 1,320 feet, more or less, southeast of a point where the
southwest right-of-way line of Redwood Drive intersects with the northeast
right-of-way line of Washington Road; thence, in a northeasterly direction a
distance of 141.8 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a
distance of 100.5 feet to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a
distance of 130.37 feet to a point located on the northeast right-of-way line
of Washington Road; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast
right-of-way line of Washington Road a distance of 100 feet, more or less, to
the point of beginning. This property contains .31 acres and is known under
the present numbering system as 2315 Washington Road. (Tax Map 26-2
parcel 144)
SECTION II.
That this ordinance is approved with the following
stipulation:
That a 6' solid board fence be erected and maintained along the
rear property line.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
