An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Conunissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Conunissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all
amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Conmlissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule
Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of
Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-l C (One-family Residential) to Zone P-l
(professional) affecting property located on the south right-of-way line of Jenkins Street,
239 feet, more or less, east of the southeast comer of the intersection of Crawford
A venue and Jenkins Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for
other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning. Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is anlended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IC (One-fanlily Residential) to Zone P-l
(Professional) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the south right-of-
way line of Jenkins Street, 239 feet, more or less,
east of the southeast corner of the intersection of
Crawford Avenue and Jenkins Street; thence, in an
easterly direction along the south right-of-way
line of Jenkins Street a distance of 40.0 feet to a
point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance
of l60.0 feet to a point located on the north
right-of-way line of Franklin Lane; thence, in a
westerly direction along the north right-of-way
line of Franklin Lane a distance of 40.0 feet to a
point; thence in a northerly direction a distance
of l60 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning. This property contains .l5 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as l734
Jenkins Street. (Tax Map 35-4 Parcel 497)
SECTION II. This Ordinance contains the folIowing conditions:
1. That only P-l signage is allowed,
2. Parking and access will be from the rear only,
3. That there be no substantial change to the exterior of the house,
4. The change of zoning will revert if the beauty salon ceases to exist
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
