An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and
the City Council of Augusta effective November IS, 1983,
entitled
"An
Ordinance
to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been
approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the
Home Rule provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning
from Zone R-IA (One- family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property located on the west right -of-
way line of Bertram Road, 190 feet, more or less, north
of the northwest corner of the intersection of Center
West Parkway and Bertram Road; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the
caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the west right-of-way
line of Bertram Road, 190 feet, more or less, north of
the northwest corner of the intersection of Center West
Parkway and Bertram Road; thence, in a westerly
direction a distance of 510 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of
300 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an
easterly direction a distance of 510 feet, more or
less, to a point located on the west right-of-way line
of Bertram Road; thence, in a southerly direction along
the west right -of -way line of Bertram Road a distance
of 300 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
This property contains 3.5 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 1051 Bertram Road. (Tax Map
12 Parcel 26.2)
SECTION II. This petition approved with the following stipulation.
That the property only be developed for residential or professional uses.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
