An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all
amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule
Provisions of the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-fan1ily Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business)
on property located on the southeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road, 214 feet,
more or less, southwest of a point where the southwest right-of-way line of Barbara Road
intersects the southeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November,
1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing
the Comprehensive Ordinance from Zone R-1A (One-family Residential) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of-
way line of Peach Orchard Road, 214 feet, more or
less, southwest of a point where the southwest
right -of -way 1 ine of Barbara Road intersects the
southeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road;
thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of
210 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a
southwesterly direction a distance of 565 feet,
more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly
direction a distance of 228 feet, more or less, to
a point located on the southeast right-of-way line
of Peach Orchard Road; thence, in a northeasterly
direction along southeast right-of-way line of
Peach Orchard Road a distance of 518 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning. This property
contains 2.29 acres and is known under the present
numbering system as 2322 Peach Orchard Road. (Tax
Map 87-3 Parcel 56)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed
