ORDINANCE NO. 6474
An Ordinance to amend Chapter 8-4 of the Augusta-Richmond County Code
entitled "Trees" by amending Section 8-4-11-(e)-(5) to provide for a landscaped
streetyard for property that is adjacent to gas, power, railroad and other similar
right-of-ways which are adjacent to and parallel with a street right-of-way.
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 8-4, "Trees", is amended by adding the following language
to the end of Section 8-4-11-( e )-(5) in a new paragraph as fo llows:
"Where a property adjoins a right-of-way such as gas, power, railroad, etc., that is
adjacent to and parallel with a public or private street, the subject property shall
be deemed to front on the public or private street and streetyard requirements
shall be adhered to."
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
