HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6458 EIGTH AVE Augusta Richmond GA DOCUMENT NAME: 0-8CI:8. -lol\S~ DOCUMENT TYPE: Dx-d" "Once YEAR: CB BOX NUMBER: \ 5 FILE NUMBER: \:=R~ NUMBER OF PAGES: OJ '\ ''';' i' ORDINANCE NO. 6458 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) with conditions to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property located on the southeast right- of -way line of Old Savannah Road, 195 feet, more or less, southwest of a point where the southwest right- of-way line of Eighth Avenue intersects with the southeast right-of-way line of Old Savannah Road; and 'i for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from LI (Light Industry) with conditions to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows: i .. ;,; Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of- way line of Old Savannah Road, 195 feet, more or less, southwest of a point where the southwest right -of -way line of Eighth Avenue intersects with the southeast right-of-way line of Old Savannah Road; thence, S 43006'40" E a distance of 39l.43 feet to a point; thence, S 38006' 30" W a distance of lOl.18 feet to a point; thence, N 43006'40" W a distance of 4l3.63 feet to a point located on the southeast right -of -way line of Old Savannah Road; thence, N 50048'30" E along the southeast right-of-way line of Old Savannah Road a distance of 100 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately .93 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 1944 Old Savannah Road. (Tax Map 72-4 Parcel 277) -, . SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map is subject to the following stipulation: That a parking configuration which provides for a driveway with forward entry onto Old Savannah Road be approved and implemented. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed day of 2002. APPROVED THIS Feb 20, , 2002.
