ORDINANCE TO PROCEED WITH DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF THE
STRUCTURES ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT I793MARTIN LUTHERKING
BOULEVARD, I 033 BRAYTON STREET, AND I 102 - I 120 COLUMBUS LANE.
TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
. Section l. That the following residential properties have been identitied by the Director
of the Augusta - Richmond County License and Inspection Department as untit tor
human habitation (or unfit for its curTent commercial or business use) and the cost of
repair, alteration or improvement of each of said properties exceeds one-half the value of
each property and that the said Director shall cause the structures located on hereinafter
described properties to be demolished and removed; and that said Director shall cause
the costs of such removal and demolition for each respective property be entered upon the
lien docket maintained in the office of Clerk of Augusta - Richmond County
Commission and said Director shall otherwise proceed to effectuate the purpose of
O.c.G.A. SS 41-2-7 through 41-2-17 with respect to said properties, to-wit:
. 1793 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia,
identitied on Augusta- Richmond County Tax Map 59-3 as Parcel 196.
. 1033 Brayton Street, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 59-4 as Parcel 214.
. 1102 -1120 Columbus Lane, Augusta- Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta- Richmond County Tax Map 59-1 as Parcel 544 (4 duplexes).
Section II.' This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
Section IlL That all Ordinances and pat1s of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
