An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November l5, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt
, and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance
adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners
of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta,
together with all amendments which have been approved
by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the
Home Rule Provisions of the Constitution of the State
of Georgia II by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map
f rom Zone A
(Agricultural) and B-l
(Neighborhood
Business)\ to Zone B-l (Neighborhood Business) affecting
property located on the southeast right-of-way line of
Gordon Highway, 6ll feet, more or less, northeast of
the southeast corner of the intersection of Barton
Chapel Road and Gordon Highway; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the l5th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by
changing
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Map
from
Zone
A
(Agricul tural)
and B-l
(Neighborhood Business)
to Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located OB the southeast right-of-
way line of Gordon Highway, 611 feet, more or less,
northeast of the southeast corner of the intersection
of Barton Chapel Road and Gordon Highway; thence, N
76027'09/1 E along the southeast right-of-way line of
Gordon Highway a distance of 227. 3l feet to a point;
'thence, S l40l0'25/1 E a distance of 350.69 feet to a
point; thente, S 55054'44/1 W a distance of 175.89 feet
to a point, thence, N 45058'53/1 W a distance of 200.34
feet to a point; thence, N 720l9' 5l/l E a distance of
86.64 feet to a point; thence, N l3005'25/1 W a distance
of l36.56 feet to a point; thence, N 38022'25/1 W a
distance of llO. 74 feet to the point of beginning.
This property contains l. 8l acres and is known under
the present numbering system as 2182 Gordon Highway.

with this Ordinance are hereby repealed
