An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November l5, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance
adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners
of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta,
together with all amendments which have been approved
by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the
Home Rule provisions of the Constitution of the State
of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map

and B - 1
(Neighborhood Business)
to Zone B-l
(Neighborhood
Business)
affecting property located on the south
"
right-of-way line of Walton Way, 45.0 feet west of the
southwest corner of the intersection of Merry Street
and Wal ton Way; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I~ That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the l5th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-lC (One-
family Residential) and B':'l (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-l
(Neighborhood Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the south right-of-way
line of Walton Way, 45.0 feet', west of',,~ the southwest
corner of the intersection of Merry Street and Walton
Way; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of
l50.48 feet to a point; thence, in an easterly
direction a distance of 45.0 feet EQ a point located on
the west right-of-way line of Merry Street; thence, in
a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line
of Merry Street a distance of l35.02 feet to a point;
thence, in a westerly direction a distance of l50. 00
feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a
distance of l35. 26 feet to a point; thence, in an
easterly direction a distance of l6.07 feet to'a'point;
thence, in a northerly direction a distance of l50.48
feet to a point located on the south right-of-way line
of Walton Way; thence, in art easterly direction along
the south right-of-way line of Walton Way a distance of
88.93 feet to the point of beginning. This property

numbering system as 1920 Walton Way.
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed
