ORDINANCE NO. 6418
ORDINANCE TO PROCEED WITH DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF THE
STRUCTURES ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 261 JAPONIcA AVENUE, 135 EVE
STREET, 1127 ELEVENTH STREET, 1207 KENT STREET, AND 1751 SAVANNAH
ROAD.
TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the following residential properties have been identified by the Director
of the Augusta - Richmond County License and Inspection Department as unfit for
human habitation (or unfit for its ClllTent commercial or business use) and the cost of
repair, alteration or improvement of each of said properties exceeds one-half the value of
each property and that the said Director shall cause the structures located on hereinafter
described properties to be demolished and removed; and that said Director shall cause
the costs of such removal and demolition for each respective property be entered upon the
lien docket maintained in the office of Clerk of Augusta - Richmond County
Commission and said Director shall otherwise proceed to effectuate the purpose of
O.C.G.A. SS 41-2-7 through 41-2-17 with respect to said properties, to-wit:
. 261 Japonica Avenue, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 61-1 as Parcel 90.
. 135 Eve Street, Augusta -- Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 35-2 as Parcel 5 (rear building).
. 1127 Eleventh Street, Augusta -- Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 592.
. 1207 Kent Street, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 58-4 as Parcel 435.
. 1751 Savannah Road, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified,on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 59-3 as Parcel 286.
Section II. This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
Section III. ha all Ordinances and pat1s of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
