An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November IS, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance
adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners
of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta,
together with all amendments which have been approved
by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County
or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the
Home Rule Provisions of the Constitution of the State
of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from
Zone
R-2
(Two-family
Residential)
and
P-l
(Professional)
to
Zone
B-1
(Neighborhood
Business)affecting property located on the southeast
corner of the intersection of Turknett Spring Road and
Wrightsboro Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AJGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
Nove~)er, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-2 (Two-family
Residential) and P-l (Professional) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood
Business) affecting property as follows:
3eginning at a point located on the southeast corner of
':he intersection of Turknett Spring Road and
I~rightsboro Road; thence, in an easterly direction
a.long the south right-of-way line of Wrightsboro Road a
distance of 67.0 feet to a point; thence, in a
,3outherly direction a distance of 259 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a
distance of 50 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
in a southerly direction a distance of 40 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a
distance of 45 feet, more or less, to a point located
on the east right-of-way line of Irvine Street; thence,
in a northerly direction along the east right -of -way
line of Irvine Street/Turknett Spring Road a distance
of 299 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
This property contains approximately .51 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as 1842
lvrightsboro Road. A portion of the rear yard of both
1823 and 1825 Irvine Street is to be added to 1842
lvrightsboro Road.
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
