Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Jrdinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
~f Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
:Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
~uthorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Consti tution of the State of Georgia II by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone P-l (Professional)
to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business)
affecting property
located on the northwest right-of-way line of Chafee
Avenue, 292.06 feet northeast of the northwest corner
of the intersection of Parnell Street and Chafee
Avenue;
and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict
herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
Nove~)er, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing
the
Comprehensive
Zoning Map
f rom Zone
P-1
(Professional) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of-
way line of Chafee Avenue, 292.06 feet northeast of the
northwest corner of the intersection of Parnell Street
and Chafee Avenue; thence, in a northwesterly direction
a distance of 201 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence in a northeasterly direction a distance of 50
feet, more or less I to a point; thence, in a
southeasterly direction a distance of 203 feet, more or
=_ess, to a point located on the northwest right -of -way
=_ine of Chafee Avenue; thence, in a southwesterly
direction along the northwest right-of-way line of
Chafee Avenue a distance of 40.0 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains approximately .20
acres and is known under the present numbering system
as 843 Chafee Avenue.
SECTIJN II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
