ORDINANCE NO. 6402
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of
Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt
and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25,
1963, by the Board of Conunissioners of Richmond County and the City
Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been
approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the
City Counci I of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) to Zone P-l
(professional) affecting property located on a point located on the
southwest right-of-way line of Tubman Home Road, 77 feet, more or less,
northwest of the northwest comer of the intersection of Cunningham Drive
and Tubman Home Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict
herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted
by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th
day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above,
is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone
R-1A (One-family Residential) to Zone P-1 (Professional)
affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-way line of Tubman
Home Road, 77 feet, more or less, northwest of the northwest comer of the
intersection of Cunningham Drive and Tubman Home Road; thence, in a
westerly direction a distance of 200.0 feet to a point; thence, in a
northwesterly direction a distance of 77.0 feet to a point; thence, in an
easterly direction a distance of 200.0 feet to a point located on the
southwest right-of-way line of Tubman Home Road; thence, in a
southeasterly direction along the southwest right-of-way line of Tubman
Home Road a distance of 77.0 feet to the point of beginning. This
property contains .35 acres and is known under the present numbering
system as 1913 Tubman Home Road.
Section I I.
That this amendment to the Comprehensive
Ordinance is subject to the following stipulation:
1. Should the beauty shop cease to operate the zoning
will revert to the former R-1A zoning.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances In
conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed
