An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by
the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of
Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt
and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25,
1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City
Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been
approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the
City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of
the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property located on a point located at the southeast
comer of the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and
Fifteenth A venue; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and
for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I,
That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted
by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th
day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above,
is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone
B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business)
affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located at the southeast comer of the intersection of
Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Fifteenth Avenue; thence, N
61008'59" E along the southeast right-of-way of Martin Luther King Jr.
Boulevard a distance of 194.80 feet to a point; thence, S 29034'45" E a
distance of 137.62 feet to a point located on the northwest right-of-way
line of an unnamed Alley; thence, S 640I0'19" W along the northwest
right-of-way line of an unnamed Alley a distance of 154.36 feet to a point
located on the northeast bank of Oates Creek; thence, in a northwesterly
direction along the northeast bank of Oates Creek a distance of 81 feet,
more or less, to a point located on the northeast right-of-way line of
Fifteenth Avenue; thence, N 26052'01" W along the northeast right-of-
way line of Fifteenth A venue a distance of 83 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning. This property contains .55 acres and is known under
the present numbering system as 2158 and 2160 Martin Luther King J r.
Boulevard.
SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive
Ordinance is subject to the following stipulations:
