That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is amended by deleting the following from Section 27, Manufactured Home Regulations: 27-6 (d) Water Supply and Sewage Disposal: Every Manufactured Home Park created after the adoption of this Ordinance shall be provided with a public water supply and public sewage disposal system. Private water distribution systems and sewage disposal systems utilizing package treatment plants or oxidation ponds may be utilized in lieu of public systems provided they are approved by the Georgia Water Quality Control Board and the Board of Health of the State of Georgia, and provided that any utilized for oxidation ponds shall be in addition to the minimum acreage required for a Manufactured Home Park. In no case shall individual wells be allowed as the method of providing water. Community septic tanks may be allowed for sewage disposal for any Manufactured Home Park. (j) Fire Protection: (1) All manufactured home parks shall be equipped with fire protection equipment as required by the latest locally adopted codes. (2) Portable fire extinguishers of an approved type shall be kept in service buildings and at all other appropriate locations and shall be maintained in good operating condition. (3) Whether a public or private water system is used, standard fire hydrants shall be located with adequate access within 500 feet of each manufactured home or service building. SECTION II. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is amended by adding the following to Section 27, Manufactured Home Regulations: 27-6 (d) .Every Manufactured Home Park shall be provided with a public water t suppJy and public sewage disposal system. Individual septic1ank systems , may be utilized in lieu of public systems provided they are developed in accordance with the provisions of the Groundwater Recharge Area Protection Ordinance. CD Fire Protection: (1) All Manufactured Home Parks shall be equipped with fire protection equipment as required by the latest locally adopted codes. (2) Portable fire extinguishers of an approved type shall be kept in service buildings and at all other appropriate locations and shall be maintained in good operating condition. (3) Standard fire hydrants shall be located with adequate access within 500 feet of any part of a building used as a manufactured residence or accessory use. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 1st day of May , 2001.
