ORDINANCE NO. 6356 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1c (One-family Residential) and Zone LI (Light Industrial) to Zone HI (Heavy Industrial) affecting property located on the the northwest right-of-way line of 15th Street, 292 feet south of the southwest comer of the intersection of Government Street and 15th Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1c (One-family Residential) and Zone LI (Light Industrial) to Zone HI (Heavy Industrial) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of-way line of 15th Street, 292 feet south of the southwest corner of the intersection of Government Street and 15th Street; thence, in a southerly direction along the northwest southwesterly direction a distance of 18 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, i- ~ · 'i; 4 " ""' in a northwesterly direction a distance of 120 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 290 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 156.38 feet to a point located on the southeast right-of-way line of Benet Road; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way line of Benet Road a distance of 707 feet more or less, to a point located where the southeast right-of-way line of Benet Road intersects with the northwest right-of-way line of Garlington Avenue; thence, in a northeasterly direction across the right-of-way line of Garlington Avenue a distance of60 feet, more or less, to a point located on the south right-of-way line of Government Street; thence, in an easterly direction along the south right-of-way line of Government Street a distance of 171 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 137.71 to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 30 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 145.00 feet to a point; thence, in an the easterly direction a distance of 243.13 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 12 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 1621 15th Street. SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed of2001. Ff'hrllRry APPROVED THIS 2001.
