AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 5999 WHICH GRANTED A FRANCHISE
TO KNOLOGY HOLDINGS, INC. SO AS TO
INCREASE THE FRANCHISE FEE FROM
THREE PERCENT (3%) OF GROSS
REVENUES TO FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF
GROSS REVENUES; TO PROVIDE AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY
COMMISSION, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY AUTHORITY OF SAME AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to its police powers and its powers under Ordinance No.
5999, Ordinance No. 5999 is hereby amended by amending Section 2 of said Ordinance to
substitute a fee of five percent (5%) of Gross Revenues for the fee of three percent (3%) of Gross
Revenues.
Section 2. All other provisions of said Ordinance 5999 shall remain in full force
and effect.
Section 3, This Ordinance shall become effective January 1, 2001.
