Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood
Business) to Zone R-lA (One-family Residence) affecting
property located on the southwest right-of-way line of
Washington Road, 213 feet, more or less, north of a
point where the northeast right-of-way Line of Lakewood
Drive intersects with the southwest right-of-way line
of Washington Road and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing
the
Comprehensive
Zoning Map
f rom Zone
B-1
(Neighborhood Business) to Zone R-IA (One-family Residence)
affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Washington Road, 213 feet, more or less,
north of a point where the northeast right-of-way Line
of Lakewood Drive intersects with the southwest right-
of-way line of Washington Road; thence, S 78050 40" W a
distance of 164.90 feet to a point; thence, N 07058'37"
W a distance of 103.82 feet to a point; thence, N
80005"38" E a distance of 167.75 feet to a point
located on the southwest right-of-way line of
Washington Road; thence, S 15005'53" E along the
southwest right-of-way line of Washington Road a
distance of 1.93 feet to a point; thence, S 80000'00" W

a distance of 4.08 feet to a point located on the
southwest right-of-way line of Washington Road; thence,
S 08027'45" E along the southwest right-of-way line of
Washington Road a distance of 98.27 feet to the point
of beginning. This property contains .38 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as 2314
Washington Road.
SECTION I I .
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
