An
Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled IIAn Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia II by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agricultural) and
Zone B-2
(General Business)
to Zone B-2
(General
Business) affecting property located on the east right-
of-way line Jimmie Dyess Parkway, 2156 feet, more or
less, north of the northeast corner of the intersection
Gordon Highway and Jimmie Dyess Parkway;
and for the
repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by
changing
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Map
from
Zone
A
(Agricultural) and B-2 (General Business) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the east right-of-way
line Jimmie Dyess Parkway, 2156 feet, more or less,
north of the northeast corner of the intersection of
Gordon Highway and Jimmie Dyess Parkway; thence, in a
northerly direction along the east right-of-way line'of
Jimmie Dyess Parkway a distance of 3861.43 feet to a
point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance
of 1202 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S
88051'22" E a distance of 840.46 feet to a point;
thence, S 07036'55" E a distance of 481.03 feet to a
point; thence, S 15041'54" E a distance of 234.21 feet
to a point; thence, S 83017'57" W a distance of 197.97

feet to a point; thence, S 12052' 01" E a di stance of
554.06 feet to a point; thence, S 78013'37" W a
distance of 846.38 feet to the point of beginning.
This property contains approximately 56 acres.
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
