ORDlNANCE NO. 6325
AN ORDlNANCE TO AMEND AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY
CODE SECTION 1-3-3 SO AS TO REGULATE THE TERMS OF
OFFICE OF THE CHAIRMAN FOR THE AUGUSTA AVIATION
COMMISSION; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO REPEAL
CONFLICTING ORDlNANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION AND IT IS
HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLWWS:
Section 1.
The Augusta-Richmond County Code Section 1-3-3 is hereby amended by striking 1-3-3
in its entirety, which provides:

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN.
The Chairman of the Augusta Aviation Commission shall be elected annually by
the Augusta Aviation Commission.
and, in lieu thereof, substituting the following:

1-3-3
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN
The Chainnan of the Augusta Aviation Commission shall be elected annually by
the Augusta Aviation Commission; provided, however, no member shall be
eligible to serve as Chainnan who has served two (2) consecutive full one-year
terms as Chairman until more than one (l) year after the expiration of that
person's last term of office as Chairman.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.
