ORDINANCE NO. 6174
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta effective
November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to Readopt and Reconfirm the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, by amending
Section 4 of the Comprehensive Ordinance thereby modifying the parking requirements
for private clubs, lodges, and fraternal buildings not providing overnight
accommodations.
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is amended by deleting Section
4-2 (b )(2) in its entirety.
SECTION II. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is amended by adding the
. following as the new Section 4-2 (b)(2):
(b) Public Assembly
(2) Private clubs, lodges, and fraternal
buildings not providing overnight
accommodations.
Parking Requirements
The number of spaces required shall be
determined by the Planning Commission
staff on the basis of the type of use
proposed, its intended occupancy, and
seating arrangement.

SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
