Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
Zoning
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond. County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture),
Zone B-2
(General
Business)
and Zone LI
(Light
Industry) to Zone B-2
(General Business) affecting
property located on the northeast right-of-way line of
Wheeler Road, 170 feet, more or less, northwest of the
northwest corner of the intersection of Interstate
Parkway and Wheeler Road; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by
changing
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
from
Map
Zone
A
(Agriculture), Zone B-2 (General Business) and Zone LI (Light
Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as
follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-
way line of Wheeler Road, 170 feet, more or less I
northwest of the northwest corner of the intersection
of Interstate Parkway and Wheeler Road; thence, in a
northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of-
way line of Wheeler Road a distance of 720 feet, more
or less, to a point; thence, N 28038'00" E a distance
of 125.94 feet to a point; thence, N 61022'00" W a
distance of 100.00 feet to a point; thence, S 28038'00"
W a distance of 119.53 feet to a point located on the
northeast right-of-way line of Wheeler Road; thence, in
a northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of-
way line of Wheeler Road a distance of 420 feet, more

or less, to a point located on the southeast right-of-
way of Interstate 20; thence, in a northeasterly
direction along the southeast right-of-way line of
Interstate'20 a distance of 2,176 feet, more or less,
to a point; thence, S 32027'36" E a distance of 269.54
feet to a point located on the northwest right-of-way
line of Interstate Parkway; thence, in a southwesterly
direction along the northwest right-of-way line of
Interstate Parkway a. distance of 1,570 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, N 78037'14" W a distance of
289.42 feet to a point; thence, S 24030'06" W a
distance of 61.99 feet to a point; thence, S 11021'15"
W a distance of 265.05 feet to the point of beginning.
This property contains approximately 33 acres.
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
