ORDINANCE NO. 6302
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and. the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by. ei ther the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing .the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family
Residence)
to
Zone
B-1
(Neighborhood
Business)
affecting property located on the southeast right -of-
way line of Alexander Drive, 1,046 feet, more or less,
north ()f the northeast corner of the intersection of
Washington Road and Alexander Drive; and for the ~epeal
of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the capti~n of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-
family Residence) to Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of-
way line of Alexander Drive, 1,046 feet, more or less,
north of the northeast corner of the intersection of
Washington Road and. Alexander Drive; thence, in a
northerly direction along .the southeast right-of-way
line of Alexander Drive a distance of 201.86 feet to a
point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of
376.8 feet to a point; thence, in a southerly direction
.a distance of 20L86 feet to a point; thence, in a
westerly direction a distance of 406.4 feet to the
point of beginning.. This property contains L 79 acres
and is known under the present numbering system as. 1064
Alexander Drive.

SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map
is subject to the following stipulation:
That the only commercial use of this property shall be
a beauty shop; and that at such time as this use shall
cease, the zoning of the property shall revert to Zone
R-1A (One-family Residence) .
SECTION III.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are her~by repealed.
