ORDINANCE NO. 6298
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND
COUNTY CODE, SECTION 5-2-45, TO PROVIDE FOR
WATER AND SEWER RATES TO BE ESTABLISHED IN THE
ADOPTION OF THE BUDGET OR BY RESOLUTION IN
CONJUNCTION WITH FINANCING FOR WATER AND SEWER
IMPROVEMENTS; TO REPEAL CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION,
and it is hereby ordained by authority of same as follows:
Section 1.
The Augusta-Richmond County Code, Section
5-2-45(e)is hereby amended by deleting said subsection (e) in its
entirety, and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
(e) The rates for water and sewer set forth in
this section shall be adjusted as established
in the budget adopted by the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission for such year or as set in a
resolution duly adopted as a part of financing
for improvements to the water and sewer

system.
Any change J.n the rate shall be
effective on April 1 of each year following
adoption of such budget or resolution.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon
adoption.
Section 3.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in

conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Duly adopted by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission
