Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Consti tution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive
Zoning Map
f rom Zone
B-2
(General
Business)
to Zone R-3B
(Multiple-family Residence)
affecting property located on the northeast right-of-
way line of Wheeler Road, 922 feet, more or less, east
of the northeast
corner of
the
intersection of
Interstate Parkway and Wheeler Road; and for the repeal
of ordinances In conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-2 (General
II
Business) to Zone R-3B (Multiple-family Residence) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of-
way line of Wheeler Road, 922 feet, more or less, ,east
of the northeast corner of the intersection of
Interstate Parkway and Wheeler Road; thencel N
14017'50" E a distance Df 661.79 feet to a point;
thence, S 77040'22" E a distance of 365.45 feet to a
point; thence, S 31059'43" E a distance of 457.01 feet
to a point; thence, S 37021'58" W a distance of 181.64
feet to a point; thenc'e,' N 89058' 52" N a distance of
458.31 feet to a point; thence, S 20045'26" E a
distance of 129.02 feet to a point located on the
northeast right-of-way line of Wheeler Road; thence, N

69046'16" W along the northeast right-of-way line of
Wheeler Road a distance of 255.63 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains 7.81 acres and is
known as Spicewood Apartments located at 3721 Wheeler
Road.
SECTION I I .
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
