Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
Reconfirm
Zoning

Comprehensive
and
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta I together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensi ve Zoning Map from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood
Business) to Zone R-1C (One-family Residence) affecting
property located on the south right-of-way line of
Central Avenue, 270 feet, more or less, west of the
southwest corner of the intersection of Baker Avenue
and Central Avenue; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November I 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing
the
Comprehensive
f rom Zone
Zoning Map
B-1
(Neighborhood Business)
to Zone R-1C
(One-family Residence)
affecting property as follows:'
Beginning at a point' located on the south right-of-way
line of Central 'Avenue, 270 feet, more or less, west of
the southwest corner of the intersection of Baker
Avenue and Central Avenue; thence, S 00029 ' 30" E a
distance of 55.84 feet'to a point; thence, S 88000'00"
W a distance of 8.00 feet to a point; thence, S
00015'30" E a distance of 167.57 feet to a point;
thence, N 63056' 30" W a distance of 67.98 feet to a
point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of
192 feet, more or less, to a point located on the south
right-of-way line of Central Avenue; thencel in an
easterly direction along the south right-of-way line of
Central Avenue a distance of 52.2 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains .23 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as 1910
Central Avenue.
