An
Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located
where the north right-of-way line of Gordon Highway
intersects with the northwest right-of-way line of Old
Gordon Highway; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November 1 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by chanqing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property as follows:
Beq-inning at a point located where the north right-of-
way line of Gordon Highway intersects with the
northwest right-of-way line of Old Gordon Highway;
thence, in a westerly direction along the north right-
of-way line of Gordon Highway a distance of 4,204 feet,
more .or less, to a point; thence, N 11036'02" W a
distance of 516.81 feet to a point; thencel N 00045'22"
E a distance of 3,426.83 feet to a point located on the
centerline of Butler Creek; thence, in an easterly
direction along the Centerline of Butler Creek a
di:3tance of 5,673 feet, more or less, to a 'point
located on the northwest right-of-way line of Old
Go:rdon Highway; thence, in a southwesterly direction
along the northwest right-of-way line of Old Gordon
Hiqhway a distance of 1,383.69' feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains approximately 305.6
acres.

SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
