An
Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) and
Zone R-MH (Manufactured Home Residence) to Zone B-2
(General Business) affecting property located on the
southeast corner of the intersection of Gordon Highway
and Fort Gordon Gate 1 Entrance Road; and for the
repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November/ 1983/ the caption of which is set out above/ is amended
by chan'3ing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture)
and Zone R-MH (Manufactured Home Residence) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property as follows:
Be9inning at a point located on the southeast corner of
the intersection of Gordon Highway and Fort Gordon Gate
1 Entrance Road; thence, in an easterly direction along
the south right-of-way line of Gordon Highway a
distance of 3/150 feet/ more or less/ to a point;
thence, S 21022'33" E a distance of 426.27 feet to a
point; thence, S 31029'50" W a distance of 200.00 feet
to a point; thence, S 28034'45" W a distance of 196.74
feet to a point; thence, S 35.052 '45" W a distance of
126.45 feet to a point; thence, S 23031'45"W a distance
of 396.64 feet to a point; thence, N 40027'15"W a
distance of 199.01 feet to a point; thence, N 62012'15"
W a distance of 178.70 feet to a point; thence, S
76055'45" W a distance of 195.77 feet to a point;
thence, S 63039'45" W a, distance of 176.45 fee,t'to a
point; thence, S 20015'45" W a distance of 169-.78 feet

distance of 157.94 feet to a point located on the east
right-of-way line of Fort Gordon Gate 1 Entrance Road;
thence, in a northeasterly direction along the east
right-of-way line of Fort Gordon Gate 1 Entrance Road a
distance of 688.82 feet to the point of beginning.
This property contains approximately 36.7 acres.
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
