Ordinance . to
Comprehensive
Zoning
amend
the
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
Comprehensive
Zoning
and
Reconfirm
the
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which. have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning: Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to
Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located
where the northeast right-of-way line of Newmantown
Road intersects with the northwest right-of-way line of
Gordon Highway; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November 1 19831 the caption of which is set out above 1 is amended
by chan3ing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agricul~ure)
to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: i

Be3inning at a point located where the northeast right- i
of-way line of Newmantown Road intersects with the~
northwest right - of -way 1 ine of Gordon Highway; thence 1 .~
in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right-
of -way line of Newmantown Road a distance of 160.02
feet to a point located where the southeast right-of-
way of the Georgia Railroad line intersects with the
northeast right-of-way line of Newmantown Road; thence,
in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-
of-way of the Georgia Railroad line a distance of
202.61 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasterly
direction a distance of 128.6 feet to a point located
on the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway;
thencel in a southwesterly direction along the
northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway a
distance of 200.31 feet to the point of beginning. This
property contains .66 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 3317 Gordon Highway.
