ORDINANCE TO PROCEED WITH THE DEMOLITION AND REMOV AL OF THE
STRUCTURES ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 340 WALKER STREET, 1115
HOPKINS STREET, 915 NINTH STREET, I III - III3EIGHTH STREET, AND 432
F AIRElOPE STREET. .
TO REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the following residential properties have been identified by the Director
of the Augusta - Richmord County License and Inspection Department as unfit for
human habitation. (or untit for its cun'cnt commercial or business'use) and the cost of
repair, alteration or improvement of each of said properties exceeds one-half the value of
each property and that the said Director. shall cause the structures located on hereinafter
described properties to be demolished and removed; and that said Director shall cause
the costs of such removal and demolition for each respective property be entered upon the
lien do(;ket maintained in the'office of Clerk of Augusta - Richmond County
Commlssion and said Director shall otherwise proceed to effectuate the purpose of
O.C.G.A. SS 41,-2-7 through 41-2-17 with respect to said properties, to-wit:
340 WALKER STREET, Augusta -. Richmond County, Georgia, identitied on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 47-4 as Parcel 348. '
1115 HOPKINS STREET, Augusta ---:- Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta
- Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as parcel 395.
915 NINTH STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta-
Richmond County Tax Map 46-4 as Parcel 246.
1111 - 1113 EIGHTH STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on
Augusta - Richmond County Tax Map 59-2 as Parcel 132.
432 F AIRHOPE STREET, Augusta - Richmond County, Georgia, identified on Augusta
- Richmond County Tax Map 61-2 as Parcel 65.
Section II. This Ordinance shall become effective upon adoption.
