Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Consti t1.ltion of the State of Georgia" by changing the.
Comprehensive Zoning Map -from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood
Business)
to Zone B-2
(General Business)
affecting
property located on the northeast
corner of
the
intersection of Furys Ferry Road (Ga. Hwy. 28) and
Washington Road (Ga. Hwy. 104); and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by
changing
the
Compr~hensive
Zoning
Map
from
Zone
B-1
(Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northeast corner of
the intersection of Furys Ferry Road (Ga. Hwy. 28) and
Washington Road. (Ga.Hwy. 104) ; thence, in a
northwesterly direction along the northeast. right -of-
way line of Furys Ferry Road a distance of 284 feet,
more or less, to a point; thence, N 770 11'10" E a
distance of 40.20 feet to a point; thence, N 45053'45"
E a distance of 219.20 feet to a point; thence, N
43058'46" W a distance of 42.23 feet to a point;
thence, N 12047'24" W a distance of 21.16 feet to a
point; thence, N 46'58'21" E a distance of 103.06 feet
to a point; thence, N 12049'49" W a distance of 24.97
feet to a point; thence,' N 47007' 05" E a distance of
42.74 feet to a point ; thence., S 42031' 24" E a distance
of 710 feet, more or less, to a point; . thence, S
85005'49" E a distance of' 140.84 feet to a point;
thence, in a ;southerly direction a distance of 260
feet, more or less, to a point; thence,. in a westerly
direction a distance of 170. feet, more or less, to a

beginning. This - property is known as Village West
Shopping Center.
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
. with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
