ORDINANCE NO. 6240 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning. Qrdinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond ~ounty and the City Council of Augusta effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ord;Lnance to Readopt and Reconfirm the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council of Augusta, together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IC.. (One-family Residence) to. Zone R-3A (Multiple-family Residence) affecting property located on the southwest right -of- way line of Wheeler Road, 139.0 feet southeast of the southeast corner of the intersection of Burdeshaw Lane and Wheeler Roadi and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One- family Residence) to Zone R-3A (Mul tiple- family Residence) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of- way line of Wheeler Road, 139.0 feet southeast of the southeast. corner of the intersection of Burdeshaw Lane and Wheeler Roadi thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest right-of-way line of Wheeler Road a distance of 95.21 feet. to a pointi thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to a point i thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 81.44 feet to a pointi thence, in i northerly direction a distance of 286.85 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains .54 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 2556 Wheeler Road. ..... , ~ 7' ~ SECTION I I .' All Ordinances' or' parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 18th day of J8nll::lry , 2000.
