Ordinance
to
amend
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta
effective November 15, 1983, entitled "An Ordinance to
Readopt
and
Reconfirm
the
Comprehensive
Zoning
Ordinance adopted March 25, 1963, by the Board of
Commissioners of Richmond County and the City Council
of Augusta, together with .all amendments which have
been approved by either the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County or the City Council of Augusta as
authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Consti tution of the State of Georgia 11 by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-2
(Two-family
Residence)
to
Zone
P-1
(Professional)
affecting
property located on the east right-of-way line of
Emmett Street,
140.21 feet south of the southeast
corner of the intersection of Parnell Street and Emmett
Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict
herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of
November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive ZoningcMap from Zone R-2 (Two-family
Residence)
to Zone P-1
(Professional)
affecting property as
follows:
Beginning at a point located on the east right-of-way
line of Emmett Street, 140.21 feet south of the
southeast corner of the intersection of Parnell .Street
and Emmett Street; thence, S 85036'16" E a distance of
80.85 feet to a point; thence, S 85035'23" E a distance
of 39.15 feet to a point; thence, S 04047'15" W a
distance of 106.59 feet to a point; thence, N 84004'45"
W a distance of 119.90 feet "to a point located on the
east right -of -way line of Emmett Street; thence, in a
northerly direction along the east right-of-way line of
Emmett Street a distance of 103.40 feet to the point of
beginning. This property contains .29 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as 1106-1110
Emmett -Street.

All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
